    Mario R. Acevedo passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at his home in Monroe. He was 64 years old.
    The son of Carol Acevedo and Augustine Acevedo, he was born Nov. 17, 1953, in the Bronx.
    Mario was the owner of Horseshoe Acres in South Blooming Grove.
    Survivors include his wife Martha Acevedo at home; his mother, Carol Acevedo of Forked River, N.J.; his sons Christopher Acevedo and his wife Jennifer of Salisbury Mills, Blake Acevedo and his wife Kelly of Cornwall and Anthony Acevedo and his wife Gunita of Cornwall; his daughter Sophia Harold and her husband Robert of Nanuet; his brother Michael Acevedo of Plattekill; his sister Gail Acevedo of Forked River, N.J.; and his four grandchildren: Alexander, Vendela, Aiden and Layla.
    Visitation was held Feb. 15 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
    A Funeral Mass was celebrated February 16th at Sacred Heart Church in Monroe.
    Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
