Margaret Monello

Margaret (Margie) Monello of Monroe passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Suffern. She was 92 years old.
The daughter of Gesualdo and Maria Galileo Licciardi, she was born Feb. 2, 1925, in New York City.
Margaret was the widow of Agostino Monello, she was a parishioner of St. Anastasia Parish Church of Harriman and a member of the Monroe Seniors.
Survivors include her loving daughters: Anna M. Verdini and her husband Angelo of Monroe and Marialana DiNapoli and her husband Dominick of Monroe; her grandchildren: Carrie Ann and her husband Jon, Dominick, Robert and his wife Crystal and Christopher; her great grandchildren: Christian, Alexander, Allison, Melissa, Leah, Julia, Ryan and Dominick.
In addition to her husband, Margaret was predeceased by her sister Pauline Macca.
Visitation was held Oct. 8 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 9 at St. Anastasia Parish Church in Harriman.
Interment followed in St. Anastasia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to St. Anastasia Church of Harriman or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
