Francis Speechley

Francis Speechley from Ormond Beach, Fla., and formerly of Monroe, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, at Florida Hospital in Ormond Beach. He was 83 years old.
The son of Margaret (O’Halloran) and George Speechley, Frank was born on Dec. 11, 1933, in Nyack. After graduating from Pearl River High School, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Frank was longtime resident of Monroe and the owner of K’s Dairy Bar for eight years. He also was a self-employed carpenter and retired from the U.S. Mint at West Point.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carol (Wood) Speechley, of Ormond Beach; his three daughters; Kim Matera and her husband Michael; Sharon Rosaschi and her husband Daniel; Robin Mulhare; his seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his brothers: Vincent, John, George, William and his twin, Joseph; his sisters, Frances, Margaret and Mary; grandson Daniel and son-in-law Thomas Mulhare.
Burial will be Thursday, Nov. 9, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet.
A memorial service will be at noon on Nov. 9 at St. Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills.
A Celebration of Life Reception will follow the service in the basement of St. Patrick’s.
