Elise B. Smith

Elise B. Smith, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at her home in Tuxedo. She was 98 years old.
The daughter of William and Theresa Louise Kruper Boss, she was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Tuxedo.
Elise was the widow of John F. Smith.
She was a retired Bus Driver for Tuxedo High School.
Survivors include her loving daughter MaryEllen Marrero and her husband Domingo of Tuxedo; her son Michael J. Smith and his wife Elizabeth of Tuxedo; her son-in-law Orlin Rhinesmith; her brother Joseph Boss; seven grandchildren: Michelle, Orlin, Sharon, Ashley, Joseph, Heather and Sarah; her two great-grandchildren: Alissa and Megan; and several nieces and nephews.
Elise was predeceased by her son Joseph J. Smith, her daughter Kathleen Rhinesmith and her brothers Frederick, Emil, Ernest, William and John.
A Chapel Service was held Feb. 22 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
Interment followed in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.
