Edward S. Bachorik

Edward S. Bachorik of Highland Mills passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. He was 82 years old.
The son of Stephen P. Bachorik and Alice Durkin Bachorik, he was born July 26, 1935, in the Bronx.
Edward retired in 1987 as a lieutenant with the NYPD, Central Park Precinct.
He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Korea.
Edward was an avid golfer and member with Orange County Golf Club at Stony Ford, a member of Orange County Grasshoppers and he loved spending time with his six grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen Rooney Bachorik at home; his son Stephen Bachorik and his wife Tricia of Warwick; his daughters: Patricia Montalbano and her husband John of Hewitt, N.J., and Theresa Carey and her husband Bernie of Middletown; his brother Donald “Butch” Bachorik and his companion Joan Wingender of Mahwah, N.J.; his six grandchildren: Violet, Holly, Daniella, Joseph, Thomas and Katelin; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Jan. 15 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Chapel Service was held in the funeral home on Jan. 16.
Interment followed in Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
Memorial donations may be made to the veteran’s charity of one’s own choice.
