Delores M. Miller

Delores M. (nee Tietjen) Miller entered peacefully into rest on Monday, March 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.
Delores was a longtime resident of Monroe but resided at Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen the past few years.
She was born to parents Henry and Maria Tietjen on May 16, 1936, in Queens and married Arthur H. Miller on Sept. 11, 1955.
She worked for Monroe Pediatrics until her retirement.
She also served as the vice president and president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lakeside Fire Company from 1973 to 1976 and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Delores is survived by her son Thomas Miller and wife Laura; daughter Lorraine Pierro and her husband Michael; son Paul; her six grandchildren: Kathryn Green and husband Andrew; Jenna, Kara and Mark Pierro; and Lorin and Andrew Miller; her sister Gloria Hilpert and husband Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur; and her brother, Herbert Tietjen.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 10, at 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 95 Kings Highway, Warwick.
A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, March 12, at 2 p.m. in Cemetery of The Highlands in Highland Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 218, Warwick, New York.
