    David Dennis Miller of Harriman passed away at home on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017. He was 84 years old.
    The son of David Daniel Miller and Dorothy Violet (Allen) Miller, David was born on June 10, 1933, in Woodside.
    David is survived by: his wife; Laurine (Bauer) Miller; son David Miller, his wife Amy Tupper and granddaughter Kaylee Tupper Miller of Riverview, Fla.; daughter Maureen Licata, grandson Christopher and granddaughter Camryn of Harriman; son-in-law Peter Licata of Highland Mills; brother Thomas Miller and his wife Carole of Naples,Fla.; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
    He was predeceased by his brother Raymond Miller and sisters June Bauer and Evelyn Pagnani.
    He retired after 20 years working for the New York City Transit Authority. In his spare time he liked to hunt and fish and spent many Tuesdays and Fridays playing poker at the Monroe Senior Center. David raised pigeons for 75 years and enjoyed sitting outside and watching them fly.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County or the St. Anastasia Church Building Fund.
    Visitation was held Oct. 11 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
    A Funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 12 at St. Anastasia Parish Church in Harriman. Interment followed in St. Anastasia Cemetery.
