Carol A. Doremus

Carol A. Doremus passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 71 years old.
The daughter of Leroy Conklin and Gertrude McGrady Conklin, she was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Tuxedo.
She was a production worker for Amscan, Inc., in Harriman.
Survivors include her daughters Carol Sutherland and husband Mark of Chester and Teena Schueler and husband Stephen of Chester; her brother Thomas Kyles of Chester; her sister Diana Kyles of Goshen; her sister-in-law Carol Jones and husband Stanley of Chester; her grandchildren: Ashley McHugh and husband Jonathan, Megan Sutherland and fiancé Alex Krymowski, Teena Marie Schueler, Spencer Sutherland and wife Victoria and Jack Schueler; her great-granddaughter Savannah Garzone; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol is predeceased by her husband Paul Doremus Jr., her brother Leroy "Butch" Conklin Jr. and her sisters Virginia Smith, Agnes Edwards, Joan Edwards, Grace Conklin, Bernice Kyles, Joyce Kyles and Mary Memmelaar.
Visitation was held Jan. 16 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Chapel Service will be held in the funeral home on Jan. 17, officiated by Pastor Ross Topliff.
Interment followed in Chester Cemetery.
