Angela M. Russo-Wasserman

Angela Russo-Wasserman passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at her home in Central Valley. She was 78 years old.
The daughter of Salvatore and Carmela Tumio Girardi, she was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Manhattan.
Angie, as she was known to the many that knew and loved her, spent her life on a singular mission to treat everyone as family.
From her decades spent bringing joy and normalcy to the handicapped in her care, to her extended family who could always depend on her for love, laughter and support, to her children and their families who knew that Nana/Grandma would stop at nothing to be there for them ... all knew her boundless energy came from bringing “family” to others.
Survivors include her two living sons, Louis and Thomas, her four cherished sisters, Maryann, Loretta, Linda and Camille, and her ten adoring grandchildren: Louis, Nikko, Ariele, Alyssa, Amanda, Brandon, Kelsey, Jacob, Mark and Olivia. She will be forever missed by daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and the many friends gained from years of opening her home, heart and kitchen to all.
Angela was predeceased by her sons Michael and Joseph.
Visitation was held Nov. 20 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe.
A Chapel Service was held November 21st in the funeral home. Interment followed in Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, N.J.
