    The following local residents were named to the dean’s list at SUNY Cortland for the fall 2009 semester: Stephanie Abrams, a senior health education major from Central Valley. Krystina Barrett, a senior business economics major from Monroe. Michael Carlone, a senior English major from Monroe. Kaitlin Dunn, a junior psychology major from Monroe. Stephanie Grube, a senior biology major from Monroe. Heather Hankinson, a senior speech and hearing science major from Monroe. Gabrielle Kanterman, a senior physical education major, with a concentration in adapted physical education, from Harriman. She is a 2007 Monroe-Woodbury School District and the daughter of Ellen and Rich Kanterman. Alyssa Kaufer, a junior speech and hearing science major from Monroe. Chelsea Lachman, a freshman adolescence education: social studies major from Monroe. Marie Rubio, a junior speech and language disabilities major from Highland Mills. Ashley Sherlock, a junior outdoor recreation major from Monroe. Honorees must earn a grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while completing 12 or more credit hours of classes during the semester. The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania: Jaclyn M. Students eligible for the dean’s list are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better. The following students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at the University of Vermont at Burlington: Danielle Labrovic of Highland Mills, a junior communication science major in the College of Arts & Sciences. Jennifer Haber of Monroe, a senior animal sciences major in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Aimee Kennedy of Monroe, a senior animal sciences major in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. Jeanne M. Zonneveld of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for her outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2009 semester from the College of Community and Public Affairs at Binghamton University, State University of New York. The criteria is a minimum grade point average of 3.5. Shannon Genevieve Malecki of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at the Decker School of Nursing at Binghamton University, State University of New York. The criteria for the dean’s honors list is a minimum grade point of 3.5. Brian J. Itro of Monroe was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester from the School of Management at Binghamton University, State University of New York. The criteria for the dean’s honors list is a minimum grade point average of 3.75. Sarah E. Bosco of Highland Mills has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.4 or better. Hillary Lindsay, class of 2013 at Connecticut College and a resident of Tuxedo Park, has been named to the dean’s honors for the 2009 fall semester. Dean’s honors is a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.3. Meghan Kelly of Monroe, a senior, has been placed the deans’ commendation list for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2009 semester at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.33 or higher for a semester’s work. Kate Zaleski of Monroe, a 2007 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2009 Fall semester at Ithaca College. She is in her junior year, majoring in therapeutic recreation. She is the daughter of Kerrie Hannon and Lawrence Zaleski. Jessica Grupp of Highland Mills is one of six members of the women’s soccer team at the U.S. Naval Academy to be named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester. Grupp, a junior at the academy where she is studying oceanography, had a GPA of 3.56. Kelly Herczeg of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester at Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, Binghamton University, State University of New York. A 2008 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, she is studying the law.
