Yesterday's Gone,' but Chad and Jeremy are back

Sugar Loaf - Chad & Jeremy, among the popular singers from the British Invasions in the 1960s, will perform at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. The duo appeared frequently on television including The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Patty Duke Show and The Danny Kaye Show, performing their top-selling songs, “Yesterday’s Gone” and “A Summer Song.” But after follow up albums of varying success, their careers went in separate directions. Chad Stuart signed on as music director for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and became a producer with A&M Records. Jeremy Clyde went on to pursue an acting career, including appearing with Led Zeppelins John Paul Jones in the long-running stage production, “Conduct Unbecoming.” They reunited in 1982 for a comeback album and their partnership continued, first in a London production of “Pump Boys and Dinettes” and then as part of the 1986 “British Invasion II” package tour. They have toured intermittently since and received good reviews; however, this is their first full tour in 30 years. Tickets are $35 for adults, and $26.25 for people 18 and under.
