WVCC presents Jet Collins in an original power folk music concert

— Jet Collins, the lead singer and composer for the band Emish, will perform original power folk music in a rare appearance next Monday, Dec. 18, at the Warwick Valley Community Center.
Collins has received wide acclaim and recognition for his musicianship and originality.
In Warwick, Collins will be presenting a concert of his original work. His lineup includes top musicians such as singer and actress Lydia Pidlusky, singer and flautist Jennifer Curreri, drummer and percussionist Fred Van Keuran, bass player Kenny Neill and guitarist Sean Harkness. Harkness is also the musical director. John Hiller is the producer.
This concert will be recorded at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, world renowned for its acoustics.
The recording will also feature the addition of a violin, cello and piano trio as well as other world-class musicians.
About the artistJet Collins is a singer, songwriter and guitar player, born in Brooklyn. He credits his affinity for music to his mother, Helen, and his father, Ritchie, who always encouraged him to create and to perform.
“In my family there was always a living room concert going on” Collins said.
He gained national attention while writing songs for and performing as the lead singer and guitar player in the band Emish.
Collins has won several awards for his song writing and performances with Emish, winning “Song Writer of the Year”and “Lyricist of the Year” in his home region of Hudson Valley.
Collins has toured nationally which enabled him to play such venues as Mandalay Bay and House of Blues, plus major music festivals across the states.
