HIGHLAND MILLS — The Woodbury Public Library will bring to a close its “Summer Dream Big, Read!” on Monday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. with a performance by Paul Miller of Flow Circus at the Earl Reservoir in Highland Mills. Miller’s act is named for two things that come together in his show:

Flow: A state of concentration or complete absorption with the activity or situation at hand; and Circus: A public entertainment featuring feats of skill and daring.

Miller has dreams filled with juggling, magic and laughter. In 1999, he founded Flow Circus with a mission to promote active learning and play through the juggling arts. His one-man comedy juggling and magic show has been performed across the country with recent credits including Disney Cruise Lines and off-Broadway. On Aug. 13, he will tell the story of how a visit to the library unlocked a new world of creativity and inspired him to learn new skills. Following the show there will be a workshop for participants in grades 6-9 in the “Own The Night Challenge.” Participants will move through stations and try their hands at kendama, flower sticks, diabolo and other skill toys that have histories dating back thousands of years. Woodbury families are invited to this evening of fun and laughter. Certificates for the summer reading program will be given out and the “Own The Night Challenge” prize raffle drawing will be held. To sign up, call the library at 928-2114.
