Warwick homeowners' Christmas light show supports Brian Ahearn Children's Fund

WARWICK - A still photograph cannot do it justice. To fully appreciate the spectacular Christmas light show, set to music, you have to head over to 24 Regent Rd. in Warwick, the home of Robert and Sue Baier. And for those who may have seen the show before, this year’s display is completely different and set to all new music. The popular display was again created and arranged by their son, sound and lighting designer Michael Baier. The production can be seen from 5 to 10 p.m. every evening from now until Jan. 3. Visitors who come out to view the display are instructed to tune their radios to 96.5 FM and enjoy the light show while listening to the music. The lights and video display are continuously turned on and off to the rhythm of several classical compositions. Before leaving and to show your appreciation, you are invited to leave a small contribution in the “Magic Mailbox” in support of the Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund. In 1998, Brian Ahearn, 14, the son of Warwick residents Jeff and Kathy Ahearn, lost his battle with cancer. The community soon united to support his family and the Children’s Fund they had established in his name. Today the fund provides assistance to local area families who are experiencing various hardships such as serious illness of a child, death of a parent or guardian who provides support for the family or those who suffer natural disasters. More than 120 hours of work went into the Christmas Light Show production. Michael Baier had help from his father, and volunteers from the Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund and the Castle Fun Center in Chester, which also donated money for the project. How to get there
From Warwick take Kings Highway toward Sugar Loaf and turn right on Airport Road.
Make the first right at Camelot Drive and then the first left at Regent Road.
The house, No. 24, is a short distance on the right and at night you can’t miss it.
