Middletown — Two art shows by two Cynthias — Cynthia Harris-Pagano and Cynthia Hall — will be opening on Sunday, Jan. 9, with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. in Orange Hall Galleries on the SUNY Orange Middletown campus. Pianist Judith Hosmer Garrett of Montgomery will provide music for the reception. Harris-Pagano of Otisville will exhibit non-commissioned portraits, still lifes and landscapes. Regarding the artworks which are for sale, Harris-Pagano has committed to donate 50 percent of all proceeds to the designated choice of the buyer: Middletown Humane Society, Deerpark Humane Society or Pets Alive. Hall will have an exhibit of paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures. She received a BA in Painting and Drawing from SUNY Fredonia and an MFA in Sculpture from SUNY New Paltz. The exhibit will run through Feb. 13. The shows, which are free and open to the public, are presentations of the college’s Cultural Affairs Department to which questions may be directed at 341-4891 and cultural@sunyorange.edu.
