Tuxedo Historical Society hosts open houses for Bert Morgan photo exibit

Photos that Bert Morgan took in Tuxedo Park from 1920 to 1950 will be on display at the Tuxedo Historical Society on Sundays, Nov. 19. Dec. 3 and Dec. 10, rom 1 to 3 p.m. This image shows Sallie Lanier, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Day Lanier of Greenwich, Connecticut, on Silver Crest in 1922.
TUXEDO PARK — Photos that prominent society photographer Bert Morgan took in Tuxedo Park between 1920 and 1950 will be on display at the Tuxedo Historical Society on Sundays, Nov. 19. Dec. 3 and Dec. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. each day.
The exhibit is entitled "Society at Play."
Morgan (1904-1986) followed the rich and famous wherever they could be found on the social scene - at exclusive beach clubs, horse races, sailing and at fashionable night clubs. He was a trusted chronicler because he never showed anyone in an unflattering manner.
The Tuxedo Historical Society is located at 7 Hospital Road in Tuxedo.
