The 28th annual Monroe-Woodbury Faculty and Friends Concert set for Oct. 28

CENTRAL VALLEY — On Saturday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m., the Souza Scholarship for the Performing Arts and The Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters will co-present the 28th annual Monroe-Woodbury Faculty and Friends Recital in the Monroe-Woodbury High School Auditorium.
The show will include performances by teachers from every building in the Monroe-Woodbury School District.
“There promises to be something for everyone” noted District Music Coordinator Nicole Regan. “And of course, the ever popular Faculty Chorale, under the direction of Dr. David Crone, will once again close out the evening with an eclectic selection of inspirational choral music.”
Can you sing?And for singers especially, you’re invited to join the Monroe-Woodbury Community Chorale for the performance, including adult family and community members. The chorale will be led by Crone, the high school choral teacher, who has an exciting program planned.
• Chorale rehearsal #1: Monday, Oct. 23, 4:15-5:30 p.m., H.S. Choral Room
• Chorale rehearsal #2: Thursday, Oct. 26, 4:15-5:30 p.m., H.S. Choral Room
• Dress rehearsal: Saturday, Oct. 28, 1:30-2:00 p.m., H.S. Auditorium
• Concert: Saturday, Oct. 28, 3 p.m., H.S. Auditorium
“This concert promises to be as exciting as ever as local performers gather together in support of the M-W Music Booster and Souza Scholarship programs,” Regan added.
Essential informationAll proceeds from the performance will go directly to the Scholarship Funds of the Souza Foundation and the Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters.
Tickets, available at the door, will be $12 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
