Students exhibit art at college

Middletown — The seventh annual SUNY Orange Student Art Exhibition, with over 300 works, is on display in Orange Hall Galleries, from Friday, April 1 through Monday, May 2. Paintings in oil, acrylic, and pastels, plus collages of mixed media, and jewelry made from recycled materials are among the pieces to be displayed. In addition, drawings in pencil, charcoal, and conte as well as digital and traditional photography, computer graphics, web design, and three-dimensional works in metal, clay, and mixed media will be on view in this comprehensive exhibit. Video works will be shown during the reception. The opening reception for the exhibition, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Take Three II, the trio composed of Carlton Jay, piano; Mike Sutton, bass; and Josh Word, drums. The exhibit has been organized by Polly Giragosian and Dena O’Hara-Whipple with Bruce Bleach, all members of the adjunct faculty of the Arts and Communication Department which presents and produces the show in cooperation with Cultural Affairs.
