Quintette 7 to play music of Raymond Scott

The West Point Band Chamber Series continues on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. at Egner Hall, 685 Hardee Place at West Point. The West Point Band’s Quintette 7 will perform a program of Raymond Scott’s quintet music in honor of the release of its compact disc “Quintette 7 Plays the Music of Raymond Scott.” A reception will follow the performance, at which time members of Quintette 7 and a representative of the Raymond Scott Archives will be available to field questions about the project. The first 50 concert-goers will receive complementary copies of the compact disc. This event is free and open to the public.
