North East Watercolor Society exhibit opens tomorrow at SUNY Orange

MIDDLETOWN — The North East Watercolor Society 2011 Members’ Show is on exhibit in Orange Hall Galleries at SUNY Orange through March 24. A free reception will be held tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 26 from 1 to 4:15 p.m. Contemporary and classical music will be provided by Geoff Hamburg of Albany. Also, from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m, a Demonstration called “Realist Techniques in Landscape Painting,” will be given by award-winning artist Debi Watson of Lancaster, Pa. She is a signature member and president of Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, and an artist member of Baltimore Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor, and Allied Artists of America. Her works have been on exhibit in several hundred national shows. Exhibit hours are Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., plus . February 27 and March 6 2 to 5 p.m. Originally, the Orange County Watercolor Society, the group grew rapidly in size and scope and changed to the North East Watercolor Society.
