Tuxedo Historical Society to host benefit appraisal featuring experts from Bonhams Tuxedo — The Tuxedo Historical Society will host experts from the international auction house Bonhams on Saturday, Nov. 13, to provide appraisals from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its offices on Hospital Road. For a $20 donation to the Tuxedo Historical Society, specialists will appraise up to three items. Bonhams, founded in 1793, is one of the world’s oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. Specialists will be available in the following categories: Jewelry and watches, paintings, all decorative arts, including silver, ceramics, glassware, 20th century design, books, manuscripts and maps. However, this event will not include specialists for dolls, toys, musical instruments or sports memorabilia. Additional parking will be available at the Tuxedo Town Hall and Hometown Market parking lots. All event donations provide direct support to historical society’s mission and projects.
