Goshen — The Harness Racing Museum will hold a craft workshop for kids, ages 3 to 11, on Saturday, Aug. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. What do Standardbred horses love to munch on as a treat? Carrots, of course. Participants can create a carrot-shaped treat basket that’s just the right size to hold candy, pencils, tiny toys and fun bands. Made of colorful orange and green foam, this carrot basket also makes a cheerful display piece. There will also be horse-themed games, a guided tour of the museum and a ride on the 3-D Harness Racing Simulator included with this workshop. Admission to the workshop, which includes all activities, is $5 for one child and one adult. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made by calling 294-6330. The museum is located at 240 Main St., in The Village of Goshen. For more information email education@harnessmuseum.com or visit www.harnessmuseum.com.
