Newburgh — Now an annual tradition, the Ferry Godmother Christmas Caroling Series is celebrating its fifth year. This is a family friendly event that is held on the Newburgh Beacon Ferry Landing, the Newburgh side, each evening, Monday, Dec. 20 through Friday, Dec. 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. Friends, family and community are invited to sing along as the ferry riders disembark the festively decorated Newburgh Beacon Ferry. Visitors can share this tradition of dazzling lights, chestnuts and hot cocoa. Carolers usually begin to arrive around 5:45 p.m. to enjoy the warmth of the campfire. Donations of chestnuts or other goodies to share are requested but not required. For additional information email the Ferry Godmother at info@ferrygodmother.com.
