Chorale to start fall recruitment, rehearsals

Warwick — The Warwick Valley Chorale will kick off its 70th anniversary year with the fall 2010 recruitment/rehearsal schedule, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 14. There are no auditions required, just a love of singing and music. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at the Warwick Reformed Church, at 16 Maple Ave., in Warwick, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Registration will be held from 7 to 7:30 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays of Sept. 14, Sept. 21 and Sept. 28, with normal rehearsals following. Under the direction of Stanley Curtis and accompanist, Gail Johnson, the repertoire will include “The Infant Jesus” Cantata by 17th century composer Dietrich Buxtehude and “Hodie” by contemporary composer John Leavitt.
