The Chocolate Expo returns to Museum Village in Monroe on Sunday, Oct 27, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., giving “chocoholics” a much needed fix on all things originating with cocoa beans.

Attendees can taste, purchase and indulge in gourmet chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, cheeses, craft sodas, wines, hard ciders, distilled spirits and more from 60 plus vendor booths.

Participating chocolatiers include Bacon Bites, Emalyn Sweets, Pretzel Princess, Raw Chocolate Love, Teacher’s Recipe Fudge, Twizzle’s Tasty Treats, Villakayaya Chocolate and ZuZu Confections, among others.

For ready-to-eat treats, Aurora Gourmet will have white, dark and milk chocolate fountains. An Artistic Taste will feature lobster mac and cheese; and 876 Jerk offers its Jamaican-style jerk chicken.

Craft beverages vendors include Black Dirt Distillery, Liquid Altitude, Olde York Farm, Oliva Vineyards and Warwick Valley Winery, among others.

Magician Eric Wilzig, who appeared on America’s Got Talent at age 16, will perform his extreme magic at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. shows. Already with over 2,500 national and international performances to date —including appearances on the NBC talent show, sold-out shows at The Tropicana and Caesars Hotel & Casino and headline acts in Times Square, Europe, Canada and the Caribbean — Wilzig is considered the hottest rising star in the magic industry.

Acoustical Americana music by the Wood Hippie band will be featured at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Children will have activities in the Kidz Zone area with free face painting, craft activities, scavenger hunts and free rides on a trackless train.

Admission price also includes the Museum Village experience of free-roaming chickens and a variety of farm animals including ducks, pheasants and goats in addition to the working 19th-Century living history museum featuring a one-room schoolhouse, log cabin, blacksmith shop, print shop, broom shop, candle shop, powerhouse and “Prince Harry” – one of three most complete mastodon skeletons worldwide.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.thechocolateexpo.com/museum-village for $15 per adult and $10 per child (ages 4 to 12).

At the door, tickets are $20 per adult and $15 per child (ages 4 to 12).

This year, to mark National Chocolate Day on Oct. 28 and Halloween, children ages 12 and under who come with a parent or guardian in a chocolate-themed hat/shirt/costume or a Halloween costume will have free admission.

VIP tickets include a Chocolate Expo VIP Badge, a Chocolate Expo insulated tote bag, a Chocolate Expo Chocolate spa bar, a Museum Village memento and private VIP guided tours of Museum Village at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are available online for $40 each and $45 at the door.

A “late day” ticket for admission after 3 p.m. is also available online for $10 for all ages four and up, or $15 at the door.

Tickets prices help to raise funds in support of Museum Village's preservation and education mission.
