Annual Monroe-Woodbury Faculty and Friends Concert set for Oct. 28
CENTRAL VALLEY – On Saturday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m., the Souza Scholarship for the Performing Arts and The Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters will co-present the 28th annual Monroe-Woodbury Faculty and Friends Recital in the Monroe-Woodbury High School Auditorium.
“The program is as exciting as ever and will include a premier performance by Bit o' Rhythm, a local percussion ensemble, many vocal selections from operatic arias to show tunes, brass, woodwind, percussion and string performances as well as a special guest performance to conclude the first act,” said District Music Coordinator Nicole Regan.
All proceeds from the performance will go directly to the Scholarship Funds of the Souza Foundation and the Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters.
Tickets, available at the door, will be $12 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Direct any questions to the M-W Music Department at 460-6200, ext. 6202.
“We are especially looking forward to Steven Wing's arrangement of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ combined with ‘You've Got a Friend,’”Regan added. “And of course, the ever-popular Faculty Chorale will perform a selection by Queen as well as their signature piece, ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic.’”
