Monroe Clean Sweep: Thank you

| 23 Feb 2012 | 03:42

Our municipalities would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors that helped during our successful Monroe Operation Clean Sweep 2011. The committee that organized everything included: Charlie Pakula, Paul Campanella, Ben Bezkorwajny, Charlie Finnerty, Edison Guzman, Mike Littier and Joe Mancuso. Additionally we received help from our Superintendents of Highways in the villages and town and their staffs: Brian Smith, John Karl and Jim Gulick. Dial-A-Bus pitched in once again to help us carry the volunteers around town to the different locations: Jennifer Crover, Joanne Milian and Bill Burbage. Thank you. Our sponsors were once again extremely generous for this wonderful community event. Without their help and support the event would not take place: QuickChek, Interstate Waste, GNC (Federal Plaza), A&E Advertising and Web Design, Walmart, Sacred Heart and Saint Anastasia’s Churches and Smith Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Home. As well as Action In Monroe, Action Plus Project Management, Inc. Bagel World, Birchwood Caterers, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Chili’s, Captain’s Table, Cornerstone Masonic Historical Society, Cross Roads Café, Dunkin Donuts, Gold’s Gym, Home Depot, Jamaica Junction, Jiffy Stop, Laura Ann-Square 1 Deli, McDonald’s, Mill Pond Cleaners, Monroe Diner, ShopRite and Stop & Shop and Smokey D’s. Thank you. And to all the people who came out and volunteered their time and energy to help in the annual community clean up event-Thank you. Without all of you none of the good results would be possible. Sincerely, Mayor Jim Purcell Village of Monroe Mayor Steve Welle Village of Harriman Supervisor Sandy Leonard Town of Monroe
