Woodbury Community Association hosts 16th annual golf open on June 8

CENTRAL VALLEY — “Fore!” That’s the sound which will fill the air at the Falkirk Golf Club on Friday, June 8, when the Woodbury Community Association hosts its 16th annual Woodbury Open.

Reservations to play are being accepted through June 3.

The event will start at 11 a.m. with registration, followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. Play will commence at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The cost is $165 per golfer ($175 after June 1) which includes golf, lunch, refreshments, a shirt and the evening awards dinner, including prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and a Hole in One contest.

The Woodbury Open is the Woodbury Community Association’s main fund raiser for the year. The money raised goes to the WCA’s annual scholarship fund as well as many community donations such as Toys for Tots, the Woodbury Food Pantry and community relief such as the help given to residents last fall following Hurricane Irene. In addition to funds raised through the golf tournament registrations, individual donations and corporate sponsorships are also welcome.

Essential information The WCA is a 501(c)(3) organization.

The Falkirk Golf Club is located on Smith Clove Road in Central Valley.
