Three M-W Youths Honored as Athletes of the Year

    Photo provided by Barbara Napoli Three members of the Monroe Woodbury Jr. Track and Field Team were honored as the USA Track and Field New Jersey Youth Athlete of the Year for their accomplishments in the 2011 spring track and cross country season. An awards banquet was held in Edison, N.J., in late January. Receiving this award were in the Bantam girls division ( 9-10 year-olds: Tessa Lytle for the throwing event and Daniella Napoli for cross country. Also receiving an award was Casey Kiefer for Youth boys ( 13-14 year-olds) for race walking. Monroe-Woodbury Jr. Track and Field competes as part of the N.J. Striders.
