Monroe Junior Troop 202 earns Bronze Award

MONROE — Monroe Junior Troop 202 recently celebrated the completion of their Bronze Award, the highest level achievement a junior troop can achieve. The girls’ project was to support PetsAlive Animal Shelter. In order to reach their goal, they raised the funds by baking, wrapping, marketing and selling three different varieties of dog treats. The troop exceeded its goals and was able to donate 25 walking leashes and other necessary supplies such as food, cat liter, toys, and food trays. The troop also recently completed the other components of the Bronze Award which included their Junior Aide Award and earning the Sign of the Star and Sign of the Sun badges. They celebrated with their families at the Holiday Inn Express of Chester who donated the use of its Great Room for the ceremony.
