Twelve police departments, the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Police attended the funeral March 2 of former Greenwood Lake Police Chief Robert Rabbitt Jr.
GREENWOOD LAKE — Former Greenwood Lake Police Chief Robert "Bobby" Rabbitt Jr. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017. He was 57.
His funeral last Thursday, March 2, at Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, attracted a large contingent police men and women.
Twelve police departments, the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Police paid tribute to the former police chief.
The departments included Greenwood Lake, Warwick, NYPD, Clarkstown, Woodbury, Middletown, Town of Newburgh, Harriman, Monroe, Tuxedo Park and Deer Park.
A police motorcycle escort for the funeral procession were from Warwick, Clarkstown and Woodbury.
