MONROE Fifty boys from Monroe Cub Scout Pack 340 had a nautical afternoon of adventure during the pack’s second annual Rain Gutter Regatta, held at North Main Elementary. With boats fabricated from balsa wood and track made from rain gutters, the boys demonstrated their ability to provide their personal wind power to make their boats move and earn the honor of completing the water track in the fastest time. The pack is comprised of first through fifth-grade level boys in tiger, wolf, bear and Weblos ranks. In addition to first-, second- and third-place trophies, participation medals were awarded to all.
