Barbershop chorus to present concert

Hyde Park — The Poughkeepsie Newyorkers Barbershop Chorus will be celebrating 50 years of singing in the Hudson Valley with an anniversary concert on Saturday, June 4, at 3 p.m. at the Haviland Middle School in Hyde Park. Special guest quartet is the 2008 Northeast District gold medal quartet, Our Town. Other featured quartets are Footlighters and Swing Shift (Yankee Division gold medal). The chorus performs throughout the Hudson Valley area at special events such as Dutchess Stadium for the Renegades, nursing homes, Singing Valentines, town fairs, hospice and other special events.
