The work of Sacred Heart Parish Outreach

| 03 Feb 2020 | 03:20

Thank you all for your support during the Christmas Season. With your kind assistance we were able to provide several gifts for over 385 children and feed over 100 at our annual Christmas Day dinner, sponsored by the Monroe Temple.

We finished the year providing food for 14,183 individuals at our Food Pantry and Mobile Food Pantry. Our Father’s Kitchen provided 4,000 hot meals.

Our SonShine Boutique continues to be the main source of income for Parish Outreach. We receive two collections from Sacred Heart Church - Ash Wednesday and Thanksgiving - for Outreach. We receive money from Sacred Heart and St. Anastasia’s Baby Bottle Collection.

Most of the food we provide is paid for through state grants and through donations by many school, individuals and civic groups.

All the furniture that is donated is delivered to families in need and is partly funded by a very generous volunteer.

Currently our budget is at an all time low.

As it stands today, we barely have enough operating expenses to take us through the end of March.

Our community is very dependent upon the works of Parish Outreach. Perhaps you would consider a one time donation to Sacred Heart Parish Outreach so we can continue to respond to Christ’s mandate to feed the hungry (through Our Father’s Kitchen, The Food Pantry and Mobile Food Pantry), shelter the homeless (through our St. Mother Teresa Furniture Program), clothe the naked (through our SonShine Boutique) and visit the sick and comfort the bereaved (through our individual services and bereavement group).

All checks can be made out to Sacred Heart Parish Outreach and either brought to the Parish Office or mailed to SHPO, 26 Still Road, Monroe, NY 10950.

    Thank you for your support.
