On a picture-perfect Friday night, Sept. 3, in East Fishkill, the Crusaders faced off with the Patriots of John Jay High School.
Both teams took advantage of their last free Friday night to get together for a preseason scrimmage.
The Crusaders are lead by Head Coach James Sciarra, who is entering his third season with a 10-7 record. The Crusaders have reached the Section 9 Title game in his first two seasons but have yet capture the elusive championship.
The Crusaders looked sharp on their offensive plays from scrimmage and the defense looked strong keeping the Patriots in check.
The season starts Friday night, Sept. 10, when the Crusaders travel to Cornwall to take on the Dragons.
The Dragons beat the Crusaders 24-10 when they meet to open their seasons two years ago.
