MONROE-Beginning Saturday, Oct. 1, the Monroe Post Office is expanding window service until 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The Post Office is located at 787 State Route 17M. "Our new later closing times allow customers greater access to our services," said Postmaster Joseph Curto. "The hours are also more convenient for commuters. Customers can now stop by the Post Office after work and find our doors open and our windows offering full-services." Businesses will also benefit. Many local shops will now be able to conduct postal business and mail packages at the end of their business day. For those not able to go to the Post Office, stamps are available and online at usps.com. Also at usps.corn, customers can access Click-N-Ship, which enables them to use a credit card to print postage from their own computer, ideal for small businesses. Click-N-Ship also offers the option of arranging for a letter carrier pick up a package from a home or business while on his route at no extra charge.
