The Woodbury Public Library and The Field Library of Peekskill will be co-hosting a free employment assistance Zoom session on Saturday, March 6, at 11 a.m.

“We are conscious that the past year has been a challenge everywhere,” said Anita Baumann, Adult Services Library Assistant at the Woodbury Public Library. “Our libraries are committed to helping our communities by giving our residents the tools to seek and secure employment in the new job landscape.”

Sign up for “Job Seekers Career Counseling: Grow with Google Online Tools Instruction.” This one-hour session with experienced career coach Hannah Early is for job seekers and career changers of all ages and experience levels.

“We will be covering a portion of the Google resources available to help you in your job search, including Google Drive, Google Docs and Grow with Google,” Baumann said. “After reviewing the basic components of a resume, we will practice using Google Docs to draft our own resumes.”

Pre-Registration is necessary to receive the Zoom link for the session and instructions to create a Google account (if you don’t have one already).

Pre-register via the Woodbury Public Library’s website http://woodburylibrary.org or in person at the Rushmore Memorial Branch in Highland Mills. You may also register by telephone - (845) 928-6162.

If you have questions, contact Baumann at (845) 928-6162.

If you’re not able to attend on March 6, the Cornwall Public Library is also hosting a Grow with Google session on the evening of Tuesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. Please visit www.cornwallpubliclibrary.org to register for that event.

These events are sponsored, in part, by Ramapo Catskill Library System (RCLS).
