A group of local Woodbury residents and friends formed “TEAM ROUTE 32” to join the “Tunnel to Towers 5k Run/Walk” that started in Brooklyn and finished near World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan on Sunday, Sept. 26.

The event re-traced the footsteps of FDNY firefighter Steven Siller and pays homage to all first responders and civilians who paid the ultimate sacrifice during the Sept. 11, 2001, tragedy of the Twin Towers attacks.

“TEAM ROUTE 32” raised more than $1,000 for the charity foundation that benefits first responders and injured military service members and their families.
