Tuxedo Park School has received a $100,000 donation from a family foundation which is earmarked for tuition assistance.
With this donation, TPS will be able to offer grants to families based solely on financial need, allowing qualified students to study at the highest level, regardless of economic background.
The tuition assistance program at TPS, which is funded by either private donations or scholarship endowments, fosters a more diversified and robust educational atmosphere. Such contributions support our well-rounded, top-tier education, from the classrooms to athletics and the art room to the stage.
Tuition ranges from $21,800 for Pre-K3 for five days a week to $36,000 for students in their freshman year, according to the school's web site.
The school awarded approximately $1.6 million in tuition assistance to approximately 48 percent of the student body for the 2018-219 school year.
“We are truly privileged to be supported by such an incredible community,” said TPS Head of School Todd Stansbery. “The generosity of this donation, and ones like it, give a chance for so many qualified students to experience an incredible education.”
Tuxedo Park School also builds tuition assistance funds through various fundraising events, such as the TPS Golf Classic. This year, on Oct, 3, TPS will host its 27th annual Golf Classic at The Tuxedo Club.
"The experience our children had at Tuxedo Park School was not only transformational for them, but also for our whole family,” said the donor. “Their friends were talented children and the diverse backgrounds and perspectives made for an enriched classroom experience. We have many fond memories of the years our children spent at Tuxedo Park School and we will always be a part of the TPS family.”
