Terpsichore dancers excel in Encore National Dance Competition

MONROE — Senior Company and Junior Company A students at Terpsichore the Dancerschool in Monroe recently participation in the Encore Northeast National Dance Competition in Hershey, Pa., and earned high rankings in group dance, solo, duet and trio performances.
The 16 performances were awarded the following rankings:
Group Dances
• "Friend Like Me:" Platinum
• "Wall Street Women:" Platinum
• "Good Night Saigon:" Platinum
• "Send Me on My Way:" Platinum
• "Zero to Hero:" High Gold
Solos
• "Too Darn Hot," featuring Maura Lennon: Platinum
• "Creep," featuring Maura Lennon: Platinum
• "Lovely," featuring Danielle Fischbein: High Gold
• "Supercalfragilistic," featuring Kaylee Sperling: High Gold
• "Pieces," featuring Adelia Salerno: High Gold
• "Half Life," featuring Juliet Hennessy: High Gold
• "La Fille Mal Gardee," Lily Cohen: High Gold
• "Welcome to the 60s," featuring Emma Katzman: High Gold
• "Slow Me Down," featuring Kelly Teel: High Gold
Duet
• "Breathe Again," featuring Danielle Fischbein and Adelia Salerno: High Gold
Trio
• "Umbrella," featuring Maura Lennon, Kaylee Sperling and Kelly Teel: Platinum, in addition to fourth place overall for trio and the Judges Special Award: Prop Master Award
Encore is one of the nation's top competition dance companies with nationally acclaimed judging.
Students from the school's Senior Company, Junior Company A, Junior Company B and Hip Hop Company, in addition to students presenting solo, duo and trio performances, will compete in the 2017 Encore Dance Competition next February in Paramus, N.J.
