Recycle your old PC or TV for free

MONROE — The Town of Monroe and Advanced Recovery Inc. are sponsoring electronic recycling on Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15, at the Town Highway Garage on Mine Road.

The program is free to all of Town of Monroe residents (including those who live in villages of Harriman, Kiryas Joel and Monroe), businesses, government agencies and schools.

Friday, June 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. Businesses, government agencies and schools are welcome, but must pre-register with Advanced Recovery by calling 845-858-8809 or via e-mail to ffunicella@advancedrecovery.com.

Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is reserved for residents.

Hard drives will be shredded and all material is domestically recycled.

Items that are accepted include: cell phones, computers, DVD players, terminals, keyboards, monitors, printers, speakers, scanners, fax machines, televisions, VCRs, radios, modems, typewriters, batters, CPUs and lap tops.

Appliances are not accepted.
