Monroe. Town of Monroe dog licensing update

On Aug. 31, the Monroe Town Board increased the dog licensing feesreffective Oct. 1. The fees are:

One-year license for spayed or neutered dogs $15, plus a state surcharge of $1, for a total license fee of $16.

There also is a three-year license for spayed or neutered dogs of $40, plus a $3 state surcharge, for a total license fee of $43.

One-year license for unspayed or unneutered dogs is $25, plus a $3 state surcharge, for a total license fee of $28.

An optional three-year license for unspayed or unneutered dogs is $65, plus a $9 state surcharge, for a total license fee $74.

Senior citizens (those 65 and older), a one-year license for spayed or neutered dogs is $2, plus a $1 state surcharge, for a total license fee of $3.

An optional three-year license for spayed or neutered dogs is $6, plus a $3 state surcharge, for a total license fee of $9.

One-year license for unspayed or unneutered dogs is $5, plus a $3 state surcharge, for a total license fee of $8.

A three-year license for unspayed or unneutered dogs is $15, plus a $9 state surcharge, for a total license fee of $24.

To apply for a three-year license the rabies certificate must cover the three-year license period.

Late fee: Any dog license renewed after 60 days of due date will have a $5 late fee applied to license renewal.
