Central Valley. Santa comes to town

We Are Woodbury kicked off the holiday season with the second annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Perrone Circle.

So many community members stepped up to help decorate and be a part of the festivities that is seemed like a scene from a Lifetime movie as people danced through the street to Christmas music as they hung lights for the event.

DJ Vernick Alvarez played all the holiday classics as families, board members and volunteers alike sang the Twelve Days of Christmas, ate holiday cookies and kept warm with hot chocolate.

As the anticipation grew, the Woodbury Police closed the road to allow the Woodbury Fire Department to escort Santa on its decorated trucks as the Ambulance Corps stood by to keep the participants safe.

Village Mayor-elect Andrew Giacomazza and Town Supervisor-elect Thomas Burke then shared the most important duties of the night: Lighting the tree.

Mr. Perrone certainly would have been proud to see how such a beautiful holiday event could bring the Woodbury community such joy and togetherness. The members of We Are Woodbury would like to wish all a very Happy and Peaceful Holiday Season
