Senator Jen Metzger (SD-42) has scheduled a Veterans Resource Fair as part of a series organized by her office, following a successful first resource fair in the Town of Warwick last month.

The Veterans Resource Fair will take place Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the at HONOR Shelter in Middletown (38 Seward Ave.) from 2 to 4 p.m.

“These resource fairs make it easier for veterans and active duty service members and their families to access programs and services tailored to their needs by providing a one-stop shop," said Senator Metzger.

Participating organizations include Action Toward Independence, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, Middletown Vet Center, Joseph P. Dwyer Peer to Peer Support Project, and VA Hudson Valley Health Care.

The resource fair is open to active duty service members, veterans of any branch of the U.S. Military and their families. Attendees can expect to receive legal, financial, and health related support from participating service organizations.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to view the New York Warrior Promise Wall, a traveling memorial, honoring the servicemen and women who have fallen to suicide.

Attendees are asked to RSVP with the Senator’s office at (845) 344-3311 or metzger@nysenate.gov.
