Local healthcare practice launches first-ever fall medical series in Monroe

    On Thursday, Sept. 5, Crystal Run Healthcare will host the first Fall Medical Series class in Monroe.

    The series is part of Crystal Run’s ongoing community outreach designed to engage and educate the community on important health issues and concerns.

    Participants in the Fall Medical Series will hear directly from Crystal Run physicians about various health topics, medical advancements and healthy tips, as well as have the opportunity to ask questions.

    Upcoming class dates will be held on Thursday nights from 6 to 7 p.m.

    :Sept 5: Charles C. Kwak, MD (Dermatology). The importance of sun protection.

    Sept. 12: Ontario D. Lau, MD (Otolaryngology). Common nasal symptoms.

    Sept. 19: Charles N. Walker, MD (Urology). Men’s health.

    Sept. 26: Russell Levine, MD (Ophthalmology): Cataracts and glaucoma

    Oct. 3: John D. Powell, MD, FACS, FASMBS (Bariatric Surgery). Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).

    Classes are free and open to the community. RSVPs are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
