The Hurd's Golden Anniversary

| 27 Dec 2018 | 12:11

Fifty years ago on Dec. 21, Elizabeth (Betty) Zupko of Tuxedo Park and Douglas Hurd from Canastota were married in Suffern on the Winter Solstice in 1968.
They meet as teachers in the Suffern School District in the 1960's and settled in Town of Warwick a few years later.
Over the past 50 years not only has this couple made a tremendous impact on these communities as educators (Suffern Junior High and Warwick Valley High School) and volunteers (Warwick Historical Society and Christ Church, just to name a few) they have proved that truth and love are ever lasting to family and friends.
As we celebrate their Golden Anniversary at CareOne in Creeskill, N.J., a quote from Hellen Keller reminds us:
"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.”
We love you and thank you for leading the way.
Happy 50th anniversary,
Brian, Karen, Logan, Justin and Addison
