Thomas M. Dougherty

    Thomas M. Dougherty, a longtime resident of Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 3, 2020. He was 48 years old.

    Born on Sept. 3, 1971, in Queens, he was the son of Jeanette (Renna) and Thomas F. Dougherty.

    Tom ran his own landscaping business in the Warwick area. He also enjoyed working on and fixing things, whether it was cars, lawnmowers or the grandkids’ ride-on toys.

    His favorite pastime was spending time with his family - when he wasn’t hunting Big Foot.

    Tom is survived by his wife Michele; son,Robert Troia and his wife Amanda of Greenville; son Joseph Troia of Buffalo; daughters, Samantha and Brianna and son Thomas, all of Warwick; grandsons Colin and Cody; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
