Selma Barash

Selma Barash passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at VI at Aventura Nursing Home in Aventura, Fla. She was 98 years old.

Daughter of Benjamin and Rose Gotlieb Silber, she was born on Aug. 7, 1923, in Linden, NJ.

Selma served her country in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 during World War II.

She was an avid tennis player, a member of the Monroe Tennis Club and Monroe Temple.

Survivors include her daughter Julia Barash and her husband Arnold Resnick of Delray Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren: Vanessa, Dustin and Cassie; and her great grandchildren: Diego, Avery, Theo, Callie and Raquel.

In addition to her parents, Selma was also predeceased by her husband Samuel Barash, her son Daniel Barash and her siblings Meyer Silber, Ann Bernstein, and Minnie Sitzer.

A Graveside Service was held Nov. 14 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Middle Hope.
