Retired NYPD Detective Pedro A. Foruria Sr. of Highland Mills has passed away on the 25th day of August 2021 due to his two-year long battle with World Trade Center-related lung cancer. He was 65 years old.
Pedro is honored today for his dedication to his family, career and his love for nature. Pedro was a hero to say the least and to know him was truly to love him.
He is survived by his wife Rosie; children Desirae, Adrian, Pedro Jr. and Marissa along with his five grandchildren: Mark, Ariana, Jacob Miguel and Marcelo.
Visitation for Pedro was held Sept. 2 at Smith, Seaman and Quackenbush Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
Mass was celebrated Sept. 3 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe.
Entombment followed at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, N.J.
Pedro will be missed dearly by his family and friends. We recognize Pedro for his love for his community.
