Patricia Witte of Woodbury passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Sapphire at Meadow Hill in Newburgh. She was 87 years old.

Daughter of Hugh and Anne McCarthy McEnroe, she was born May 6, 1932, in Richmond Hill, New York.

After marrying, she lived in Glendale, New York, where she raised her four children with her husband and then moved to Orange County in 1984.

Patricia was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St Patrick’s Church in Highland Mills and a member of the Rosary Altar Society, she was a member of the Woodbury Golden Agers as well as a former librarian for the Town of Woodbury Library.

Survivors include her husband Walbert “Joe” Witte of Highland Mills; her daughter Doreen Albright of Walden; her son Steven Witte and his wife Rose of Croton-on Hudson her daughter Anne E. Witte and her spouse Alain Maréchal (residing in the south of France); and her son John Witte and his wife Sue of Washingtonville; her five grandchildren: Melissa Kostic and her husband Mike, Laurie Nolan and her husband Tim, Sean Witte, Joseph Witte and Justina Witte; and her five great grandchildren: Kaitlin Kostic, Emma Kostic, Makenzie Nolan, Emily Nolan and and Hunter Nolan.

She is predeceased by her son-in-law Edward Albright.

It is with great thanks for the hard work of the staff at Sapphire Nursing Home for taking care of Pat for these last 3.5 years.

Visitation was held Nov. 19 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.

A Funeral Mass will be held Nov. 20 at St Patrick’s Church 448 Route 32 in Highland Mills.

Interment followed at Cemetery of the Highlands in Highland Mills.
